This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal data when you visit yourticketnow.com, create an account, buy or use a ticket, contact us or otherwise use our services.
1. Controller and contact
For the processing described here, YOUR TICKET NOW LIMITED is generally the data controller. An event organiser may separately control data it receives for its own event operations. Privacy enquiries and rights requests may be sent to info@yourticketnow.com.
2. Data we collect
- Identity and contact data: name, email, telephone number, billing details and account identifiers.
- Order and ticket data: events, ticket types, seats, prices, transaction status, transfers, check-in and validation records, cancellations and refunds.
- Payment data: payment status, method and limited transaction information. Full card details are generally handled by payment providers rather than stored by us.
- Technical and usage data: IP address, device, browser, cookie identifiers, logs, pages viewed and interactions with our services.
- Communications: support requests, feedback and messages sent to us.
- Security data: information used to prevent fraud, abuse, duplicate tickets and unauthorised access.
3. Why we use data and our legal bases
- To create accounts, process orders, issue and validate tickets, provide support and communicate event changes - necessary to perform a contract or take requested pre-contract steps.
- To keep financial and business records, respond to lawful requests and comply with consumer, tax and other legal duties - necessary to comply with legal obligations.
- To secure the service, prevent fraud, improve performance, resolve disputes and understand aggregate usage - our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights.
- To send optional marketing or use non-essential cookies - consent where required. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
4. How we disclose data
We may disclose relevant data to event organisers and venues to fulfil and validate tickets; to Shopify, payment, hosting, cloud, analytics, email, customer-support, security and professional-service providers; to authorities where legally required; and in connection with a corporate transaction. Providers acting for us may process data only for authorised purposes and under appropriate safeguards. Organisers may provide their own privacy information for processing they control.
5. Shopify
Our store is hosted by Shopify, which processes information to provide and improve its commerce services. Shopify may process data in countries other than your own. You can learn more in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and use the Shopify Privacy Portal where applicable.
6. International transfers
Some recipients may be outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we use an adequacy decision, approved contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism, together with supplementary safeguards where appropriate.
7. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above. Account and ticket records are generally retained while an account is active and afterwards for applicable limitation, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention and legal periods. Security logs and support records may have shorter or longer periods depending on risk and legal need. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer required.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential technologies for checkout, accounts, security and site operation. With consent where required, we may use analytics, personalisation or advertising technologies. You can manage available choices through our cookie banner or browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the service from working.
9. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of your personal data, and withdraw consent. You may object at any time to direct marketing. Rights are not absolute and we may need to verify your identity. Contact us at info@yourticketnow.com. You may also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie or to your local supervisory authority.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data. No online service is completely secure, so you should protect your credentials and notify us if you suspect unauthorised access.
11. Children
Our purchasing service is not directed to children who cannot lawfully enter into a contract. Where an event is suitable for minors, a parent or guardian should make or authorise the purchase. We do not knowingly use children's data for marketing without the consent required by law.
12. Automated decisions
We may use automated signals to detect fraud or abuse. Where a solely automated decision produces legal or similarly significant effects and applicable law grants you rights, you may request human review and contest the decision.
13. Changes
We may update this policy to reflect operational or legal changes. We will post the revised version and update the date above, and provide additional notice where required.
